My my, all sorts of interesting new revelations in the last few weeks here. A new specimen of Liaoningosaurus paradoxus has been found in the Yixian Formation. What is interesting about it, is that fossilized fish remains were found within it's stomach region. So this is A). A Carnivorous ornithischian, B). A Semi-aquatic ornithischian. The specimen even shows special ventral armor plates, obviously to protect the stomach region from harm. Seriously cool. Now I now many of you will be surprised to see and read this, but honestly the evidence is very convincing. A new specimen of Nanotyrannus from southern Montana has been recently uncovered. This specimen is extremely well preserved, and allows for examination free of the influences of any deformation during fossilization. It displays several features inconsistent with the conditions seen in Tyrannosaurus. These include (among several others), the lack of stereoscopic vision, and the paroccipital process appears to angle almost directly posteriorly, rather than laterally as is seen in Tyrannosaurus.
